Return & Refund Policy
At Happy Pug Pups, we are committed to responsible puppy placement and want every adoption to be a positive experience for both our puppies and their new families. Because bringing home a puppy is a long-term commitment, we encourage prospective owners to carefully consider their decision before placing a reservation.
This Return & Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which a return or refund request may be reviewed.
Reservation Deposits
A reservation deposit is required to hold a selected puppy.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, reservation deposits are non-refundable, as the puppy is removed from public availability once reserved and additional care and planning begin on your behalf.
Refund Requests
Refund requests may be considered in limited situations and are evaluated individually.
If you believe your puppy has a serious health condition that was present before placement, please contact us as soon as possible and provide documentation from a licensed veterinarian.
To review a refund request, we may ask for:
A written veterinary report
Medical records related to the diagnosis
Any additional information reasonably required to evaluate the request
Approval of a refund is not automatic and will depend on the specific circumstances, supporting documentation, and the terms of any applicable Health Guarantee.
Where permitted, an alternative resolution, such as a replacement puppy or another mutually agreed option, may also be considered.
Returning a Puppy
If unexpected personal circumstances prevent you from keeping your puppy, we encourage you to contact Happy Pug Pups before making other arrangements.
While we cannot guarantee that a refund will be available, we will discuss possible options and, when appropriate, provide guidance to help ensure the puppy is placed in a safe and responsible home.
Our primary concern is the long-term welfare of every puppy we place.
Conditions for Return Review
If a puppy is returned for evaluation, the following factors may be considered:
Overall health and physical condition
Veterinary records since adoption
Evidence of appropriate daily care
Compliance with any applicable purchase agreement or health guarantee
Refunds or other remedies may be declined if illness or injury is determined to have resulted from neglect, accidental harm, improper care, or circumstances that occurred after the puppy left our care.
Transportation Costs
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, transportation expenses associated with returning a puppy are the responsibility of the buyer.
If a return is approved due to a qualifying health issue covered under an applicable Health Guarantee, transportation arrangements will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
