Our Health Guarantee
The Happy Pug Pups Commitment
At Happy Pug Pups, we are dedicated to raising well-cared-for Pug puppies and helping them transition successfully into their new homes. Before leaving our care, each puppy receives a veterinary examination and age-appropriate preventive care to help ensure they are ready for the next stage of their journey.
Every puppy goes home with available health records, including information about vaccinations and deworming appropriate for their age.
To support your puppy’s continued wellbeing, we recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your own licensed veterinarian within four (4) days of bringing your puppy home. This visit allows your veterinarian to establish a health record, answer questions, and help guide your puppy’s ongoing care.
Limited Health Guarantee
Happy Pug Pups offers a limited one-year genetic health guarantee covering certain serious hereditary or congenital conditions, subject to the terms of your purchase agreement.
If, during the guarantee period:
A licensed veterinarian diagnoses a qualifying hereditary or congenital condition;
Supporting medical documentation is provided for our review; and
The condition meets the requirements outlined in our Health Guarantee,
we will work with you to determine an appropriate resolution in accordance with our policy.
Depending on the circumstances, available remedies may include a replacement puppy from a future litter or another mutually agreed solution. Any resolution is subject to review of the veterinary documentation and the terms of the Health Guarantee.
This guarantee does not cover illnesses, injuries, or conditions resulting from accidents, neglect, improper nutrition, inadequate veterinary care, or circumstances that occur after the puppy has left our care.
Owner Responsibilities
Maintaining your puppy’s health is a shared responsibility.
To remain eligible for any applicable health guarantee, owners are expected to:
Provide high-quality nutrition appropriate for the puppy’s age
Supply clean water and a safe living environment
Schedule routine veterinary examinations
Follow recommended vaccination and preventive care schedules
Provide regular exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation
Treat the puppy with kindness and responsible lifelong care
These steps play an important role in supporting your puppy’s long-term health and development.
Ongoing Support
Our relationship with you doesn’t end when your puppy goes home.
We are happy to provide general guidance throughout your puppy’s transition, including information about feeding routines, basic care, adjustment tips, and everyday questions that new puppy owners commonly have.

Caring for Your New Pug Puppy
Bringing home a new puppy is an exciting milestone. During the first few weeks, a consistent routine and positive reinforcement can help your puppy adjust comfortably to their new environment.
Potty Training Tips
1. Create a Daily Routine
Feed your puppy at consistent times each day and take them outside regularly, especially after:
Meals
Naps
Play sessions
First thing in the morning
Before bedtime
Young puppies generally benefit from frequent bathroom breaks while they are developing good habits.
2. Reward Good Behavior
When your puppy uses the correct potty area, offer praise or a small training treat immediately.
Positive reinforcement helps puppies understand which behaviors are encouraged.
3. Learn Your Puppy’s Signals
Many puppies show signs that they need to go outside, such as:
Sniffing the ground
Walking in circles
Whining or becoming restless
Moving toward the door
Responding quickly can help reduce accidents indoors.
4. Be Patient During Training
House training takes time.
If an accident happens, clean the area thoroughly and continue following your routine. Avoid punishment, as calm consistency is generally more effective for helping puppies learn.
5. Provide a Comfortable Resting Area
Many families find that crate training or a designated sleeping space helps establish daily routines and supports successful house training when introduced appropriately.
Helping Your Puppy Settle In
The first few days in a new home are a period of adjustment. Keeping a predictable schedule for feeding, playtime, rest, and bathroom breaks can help your puppy feel more secure.
With patience, gentle guidance, regular veterinary care, and plenty of positive interaction, your Pug puppy can develop into a confident and affectionate companion.
